There is little question that Asian males spend a great deal of time employing hair wax; the real question is why they elect to employ this grooming technique. Many possible explanations abound: it gives their hair added shine; it gives their hair added definition; it gives their hair a measure of control that young men like; and perhaps waxing satisfies any personal insecurities about unkemptness or about personal grooming. Certainly, the matter of why young men employ this sort of technique is one that has been under-discussed in the literature.
