A group of American celebrities have emerged from among the finest performers. These people do not act, but are treated like actors or pop stars. They are not important performers, but they are important celebrities. A small but distinct class of American celebrity, including Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, and Pamela Anderson has become a group with credits only for minor bits of acting or singing. This group is only known for being seen.
