This paper looks at the Vancouver Art Gallery and at how its presence impacts upon the land (its morphology) and its use. The paper will explore the function of the art gallery – both inside and outside – and will look at the pertinent issues that complicate things with the gallery as well as the cultural attitudes that are manifested via the way in which people interact with the facility.
