This book looks at cars and the role they play in pollution in our time. This paper will look at the matter of cars causing pollution and whether or not our understanding of the issue has evolved over the last several decades. In particular, the paper will look at how automobile pollution was viewed in the 1960s and how the matter is viewed now as we get ready to embark upon the second decade of the twenty-first century.
