The Internet has revolutionized the way that we send and receive information. Two developments have made Internet security more challenging in recent years. The first development is that increased bandwidth and digital electronic communications produces content that is difficult for security protocols to deal with(Liu and Eskicioglu,2003,p.1). The second development is the increasing speed of networks(Na et al,2009, p.371). The challenge for computer programmers is to develop security programs that can deal with a range of complex data at high speeds.
