Religious Values in War and Peace In times of peace, people demonstrate religious values that promote harmony, and respect for others, regardless of religious or national affiliation. In times of war, the very same people change their attitudes, and express hatred and enmity for people of the rival cultures. The religion of the people can turn into a sword that they use to vilify other cultures, and justify their own. This hypocritical approach draws into question the true faith of people for a higher spiritual force. The concept of peace and non-violence is a part of world religions. For the Christians it is reflected in Exodus 14:14 in the Holy Bible: “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace” ( Biblegateway ). The...The end:
