Healthcare problem is a major challenge to government authorities as well as the healthcare medical practitioners. Recent fight in the US Congress between the Democrats and Republicans illustrates the seriousness of the healthcare problem and the challenge posed to both the present generation and to future generations. In this paper, I will select and discuss 12 programs of the 28 others offered through the Healthcare People 2010 Initiative of The National Center for Health Statistics. The following are the areas I have selected for discussion.
