The lack of the representation of traditionally under-represented minorities in the American collegiate system has been a highly debated topic. There is of course little argument that there are in fact under-represented minorities. One tragic aspect of this reality is that the original inhabitants of the country, Native Americans, have found themselves part of this facet of institutional discrimination and have some of the lowest per capita collegiate representation of any minority.
