Material Analysis of Baseball Bats Abstract This paper compares the material composition of metal, wood, and composite baseball bats to determine their impact on performance. A brief history of the baseball bat is provided followed by a discussion of the criteria used to select the bats, the physical and mechanical properties of the materials, and a comparison of their performance.
