Key Qualities of Nursing Introduction When considering nursing, there are a number of qualities which can be chosen to represent the profession. I have discussed the qualities in a previous paper but my thinking has changed in certain respects while specific elements remain the same. I continue to maintain that the basic quality of nursing is caring, and other essential qualities are communication and critical thinking. I will discuss how my thinking about those qualities has changed and I will also demonstrate how these qualities are linked. I will also discuss how the qualities are reflected in my Coat of Arms and changes I have made in the components.
