In Favor of the Second Amendment
In the small city of Stroud, Oklahoma, in early December of this year (2009), a homeowner defending her property from what was apparently a late-night intruder ended up shooting and killing him. Although local homicide detectives are currently investigating the case to find out if there may be any details which were not previously revealed, the situation at present looks like a clear-cut case of self-defense (“Woman Shoots, Kills Intruder in Lincoln County,” para. 1-3). From time to time this sort of incident appears in a newspaper headline in one place or another around the United States, and such cases lend strength to the ongoing arguments in favor of strengthening and expanding the Second Amendment in...
