Abstract
System Implementation Assignment
This paper will investigate the current process used in our hospital for staffing and measure its effectiveness. The paper based on the findings will propose an implementation to increase the efficacy of a never ending problem of staffing.
The hospital uses a staffing coordinator to do all our staffing, and the process in place is that all staff has their schedule done and posted on the units for a month in advance. The Per Diem pool hands in their availability in a piece of paper to the coordinator who then inputs them in an excel spreadsheet.
