Abstract
HOPE is a non-profit organization operating in southeast Florida, with the primary mandate of helping to feed and clothe the homeless in south eastern Florida. Although Florida is a haven for retirees, it is also a haven for homeless Americans because of the warm climate. HOPE was created by a concerned group of individuals who, having retired and benefited from the prosperity of America’s prosperous years, were concerned about the number of individuals and families who, through no fault of their own, have been affected by the downturn in the global and American economies.
