The Fortune 500 company list is a list of the 500 most profitable companies in the world. This list is used by many investors to decided if a company is worth investing in(EconomyWatch,2010). However, there is some question about the wisdom of investing in these companies based on this ranking. A company could still appear on the list and be failing economically.
To determine how viable any company on this list it is necessary to do a financial ratio analysis of the company. For this report we are going to look at the GAP Inc.
