Event Management: Twestival Vancouver 2012 Event Strategic Plan Event Purpose As noted on the Twestival website, Twestival is a worldwide Twitter Festival event which takes place in real life. The project aims to use social media for social good by connecting the people who normally meet through Twitter on an offline basis. Twestival is “the largest global grassroots social media fundraising initiative to date” and has raised $1.75 million for over 275 non-profit organizations around the world through ticket sales which are donated directly to non-profit projects in each Twestival location.
