Earthworm Migration Behaviour Problem Statement Earth worms(Lumbricus terrestris) are known to migrate to the surface at various times. There do appear to be patterns to these migrations. However, there is some question regarding why they migrate to the surface. The prevalent opinion is that it is the result of changing light levels.
