Excerpts from the Paper

The beginning:
Does Honesty Pay
We have all heard that honesty is the best policy, but is it really? The reality about honesty is that those who preach honesty are often the most dishonest of people. Honesty is only a practice when it is the only way to gain what people want or need. The reality of honesty is that more people lie and cheat when it is difficult to be honest. Doing the right thing, no matter how it feels, seems to be a lost art in the character building arena. Bobby Bowden the Florida Seminoles football coach said in and ESPN interview that respect is what people seek from other people. Character is what God sees in us.
Honest people do the right thing no matter how it feels, which implies honesty is, more often than not, a difficult task....
The end:
.....e honest and that liars don't prosper in today's society? I believe that honesty does pay in the long run and dishonesty pays in the short-term. Honesty isn’t a quaint old-fashion concept. Honesty never goes out of style. Honesty has its place in the world we live in today. Just look at the British Petroleum oil debacle in the Gulf of Mexico. The CEO of BP was replaced because he was viewed as getting caught at being dishonest and then he had to keep being dishonest to cover up that he new certain things about the risk BP was taking and he never said anything. It is important to note that just because a person gets caught being dishonest doesn’t mean they are going to get paid for their dishonesty by the corrupt company that employees them.
