Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a neurological disorder that manifests in behavior. It typically is found in children, although adults can also demonstrate symptomatic behavior. As a developmental disorder, the diagnosis and treatment of the disorder is important to insure in proper social and cognitive development in children. It is highly treatable, with both medication and behavioral modification.
In a thorough research of the disorder that includes current research of causes and treatment for ADHD, a cohesive context of understanding will be constructed.
