Introduction to paper
This paper looks at an African nation that is not well-known to many Canadians – the country of Chad. The paper discusses the topography and geography of the nation; the demographics of the country; the culture and ethnic breakdown of Chad; the history of the nation; Chad’s politics and governmental structure; economic structure and condition; private sector development and foreign investment in Chad; its relationship to the west; it’s intra-regional situation; and then synthesizes the findings in the form of a brief conclusion. All in all, this is a poor nation with many internal problems and with serious enemies on its borders.
