The history of China’s real estate industry begins minimally in the 1980s. In the 1980s there was little to not growth in the real estate industry. In 1996 China’s real estate industry swelled with growth. By 2001 Singapore announced that it regarded China’s real estate industry as questionable. In 2001 China’s real estate sector maintained steady growth simply because of increases in real estate investment and housing prices. In 2001 there was reported real estate development that totaled over 414 billion Yuan.
