Challenges Facing the Canadian and U.S Forestry Industry
Forestry has a long history in both Canada and the United States. However, in recent years the industry in both countries is facing a number of challenges. These challenges can be placed into three different categories. These categories are environmental/biological, economic and political.
This essay will begin by looking at the closely connected environmental and biological challenges that are facing the forestry industry. The most important of these challenges involve global climate change. For example, in “The Science of Climate Change” Andrew J.
