1.Jim Flaherty the Canadian Finance Minster has expressed a desire to end the stimulus policies meant to bring Canada out of the recession.  In an interview with Miller and McCallum he stated that he is, “‘comfortable’” that an increase in business investment will allow his government to end its stimulus measures in March as planned”(Miller and McCallum, 2010).  If this happens it would signal a return to the policies based on 
neoliberalism
 that the Conservative Party of Canada is known for.
