The limitations of the study are that it does not demonstrate a statistical correlation between results and intervention. Additionally, the demographic analysis is weak, and could potentially skew results. Taken as a whole, however, the study does indicate that further research is likely to provide more detailed analysis that would conclusively demonstrate the need for proper programs for SMI patients as the transition from the health care facility to society at large.
