Analysis of the BP Oil Spill Your Name Your University Your Class The Name of Your Professor May 16, 2011 Abstract This analysis contains the following elements: (a) a description of deep-sea oil extraction technology; (b) a list of factors that account for the recent BP oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico; (c) an analysis of the spill; (d) an examination of the harms caused by the spill; (e) an evaluation of some scientific, political, and technological solutions advanced for spill cleanup; and (f) an evaluation of the feasibility of long-term biodiversity conservation measures, including a discussion of how such measures can restore the ecosystem and what the limitations of such measures are.
