HI MY NAME IS

My name is BRIAN MCGHEE. I am 24yrs old. The reason I want to be in SBS-C.O.R.E. program
is that I think the program has what I need in order for me to receive my bachelor's
degree. One of the things I have trouble with is understanding things the first time. It
has always taken me a little longer. I have heard that the program (faculty) will give me
that extra time I need. Once I've been accepted I am going to major in communications.
I was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. I graduated from an alternative high school
(Flint School of Choice) It was a school that let me work at my own pace, I was able to
grasp a lot more because there was no pressure on me.
I've been to college before (Voorhees, Mott, Wiley) and for the most part they didn't
have the support I needed. I now know that I was not as motivated as I am today. I think
the SBS-C.O.R.E. Program has the support I need. I am looking for the teachers and the
programs to give me guidance and more time if needed to complete assignments.
My commitment to the SBS C.O.R.E. program is to be willing to have an open mind to learn
and to do things a different way.
