Clare Barton was born on December 25, 1821. She has soon files on more than 2000 people. Clara realized that the Red Cross helped civilians, too, in such disasters as earth quakes , hurricans, or floods. Throughout the war, Clara spent every penny of her income buying nursing supplies.
