BUYING PLAN FOR PRO SHOP

Summary of Buying Plan 
To determine how much money I have spent on merchandise I need to use a
buying plan. A buying plan is essential to my golf shop so I know how much money I
have made.
Men's wear is a very important type of merchandise since men spend the most
money in my golf shop. Especially during outings men out number women by a very
large margin. Most men want a souvenir from a Pete Dye golf course so they buy a shirt
or two. Men also spend a large amount on hard goods. Since I fit clubs for the members
they tend to buy a large amount of clubs and other hard goods. Golf balls sell out so
fast
here due to the all the water I must buy vast quantities of them. Women tend to go
elsewhere to buy there clothes so that's why I will put women's clothes on sale most of
the time.
On holiday's we always have a special tournament. In honor of the holiday I will
have a sale of ten percent of all men's and women's wear. Men's and ladies member
guests will also have a sale during the tournament. Most hard goods will not have a sale
unless I have a hard time selling the product. Markdowns on clothing will only happen
when the clothes are out of season. I will take twenty-five percent off the price of the
item. 
I would like to add no rangers or starters are needed for the month of November
due to lack of play.
A successful golf shop needs to start with a buying plan. I must use one to keep
all my money and goods in order. Without one I will have no idea how much money I
have made or lost throughout the year.
